Training on IP Litigation & Defense Strategy (11th Jan. Full Day)
To make the Forum more fruitful and give the participants more returns, the organizer particularly arranges the training which is to explain the IP litigation and defence strategies closely around the latest domestic and overseas legislation development by inviting IP judges, professional lawyers and IP law experts.
Guidelines for Patent Infringement Determination by Beijing High People’s Court stipulate comprehensively and operationally the confirmation of the patent protection scope, infringement determination, patent infringement pleading and etc. For the purpose of making the IP department of enterprises and practitioners in IP service agencies more understand the details of the Guidelines, this training invites judges presiding patent cases in the IP tribunal of Beijing High People’s Court to interpret the Guidelines.
Meanwhile, American lawyers with years’ overseas experience are invited to give advices to Chinese enterprises on how to obtain and enforce IPR and how to deal with difficulties and challenges during the process of “going out.” Under the background of the reform of American Patent Law, as there exist big differences between US and China in terms of patent application processes and enforcement procedures, the key point is to interpret how to take advantage of American patents to seize the latest trend of patent protection, to get well-prepared, and to consider IP as an “investment with high returns” when Chinese enterprises are moving toward international. Thus IPR will play an increasingly active role.
